Said they were from Microsoft and that feedback from my computer indicated that I an error that kept coming up. they said that Microsoft wanted to find out what the error was and fix it for me. 2 days before this happened I noticed that there was an error with my online Banking, so I said ok go ahead. they supposedly carried out a scan and said there was 10598 errors on my computer but they would take them off because my computer was also running slowly. They Microsoft logmein and took over my computer and had control for about 8 hours. then told me to switch off and they would be back the following day after having paid £90. they told me it would be alright to use my computer. They also showed me that I had a Trojan horse virus which they said they would take off. After they had finished for the day I got a little suspicious of them so I turned on my computer and it was running so slow it took almost 6 min for the desk top to appear. so I phoned the number they had given to me and asked what they were pla
Asked for me by name, sounded like he said he was from Vodaphone & i told him no thanks & have had 3 further calls which i have closed straight away.
Caller said he was from an Insurance Agency that I didn't get the name of as he spoke very fast. Told me that he had gotten a report of me being in a car accident in the last few months. I'm wheelchair bound and haven't been in a car in over 5 years. Then he proceeded to say that it may have been a family member. On both instances I answered "No" and gave him no other information. This is the 4th time I have gotten a call like this and all 4 times have been highly suspicious to me.
I wanted to know who the caller was. I received a missed call from this number a while ago. Thanks
Threatening man with non UK accent demanding to know why I laughed when I answered phone. I did not laugh! Hung up and he called back again. I told him I would call police if he continued to intimidate. Didn't want to ring number back to complain. Fearful number is scam to insight people to ring premium rate number.
I've had this call a few times and there's never anyone on the line. I suspect the caller wants my curiosity to take hold of me and I'll return the call.
